Reloaded - Build 054 Patch

Whew, a lot of time went into this one but believe me it was well worth it! Not only does this patch kill off the last remaining known-bugs so far, it also adds new enhancements to gameplay!

For starters, I’ve enabled the /map command on servers now so you can play on different levels. ALSO, I’ve added in the ability to have multiple maps on the same level, meaning you can be an entirely different room than everyone else! Going on, I’ve finally added in ladders so you can get to those hard-to-reach places. I personally find it quite amusing when you shoot someone climbing up one. Flashbangs will now take control of your character… rather than standing still, your character will randomly walk around while stunned. I’ve also stopped “dead-clients” (players that appear to be in-game but really they’ve disconnected but their data was left behind) and also reduced lag… like, a LOT.

Build 054 - 2 January 2008

  • Reduced number of objects used to check for grenade, mortar & flashbang hits (Lag Abuse Lowered!)
  • Frame-skipping will now automatically adjust to boost performance based on the current FPS (lower means more frames skipped)
  • Users can now log in using their display names as well
  • Grenade, Flashbang & Mortar Checkers only activate if within range of the player (lag reduced!)
  • Finally fixed the issue where the game would error out of your arm is shot while holding a grenade due to a missing userid
  • Fixed issue with adistance variable in obj_mortar_hitter not defining early enough for use
  • Fixed issue where mortars would pass through the ground
  • Fixed graphical glitch where the level would overlap the HUD
  • Removed Un-needed collision check from the player object
  • Bullets now pass through team-mates instead of deleting themselves
  • Added password saving
  • Fixed error when pressing the escape key to close the game from the menu
  • Fixed issue with undefined “deathtype” variable in players
  • Added ladders!
  • Gun angle is now rounded to nearest integer (less percise but saves bandwidth)
  • Added support for players to be on different maps on the same server
  • Added a second map to the first level
  • Added Ping System
  • Flashbangs “hijack” your character and make it walk around “confused”
  • Fixed issue with players timing out and leaving their player data on the server
  • Fixed server so it won’t error when dropping players
  • Enabled map changing!
